Glenn Shadix, a gay character actor who appeared in more than 70 films and TV shows including Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice and Planet of the Apes,died Tuesday at his home in Alabama. He was 58.Shadix died after suffering fall at in his Birmingham condo. A native of Alabama, Shadix moved back to Birmingham four years ago after retiring from Hollywood.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Stephen Colbert led the nation to the Lincoln Memorial, in a rally called Restoring Truthiness? “I was woken in the middle of the night by this (along with the sound of my cat getting ready to pee on the rug).Think about it. Terry Jones, pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center, appeared on "Hardball" Thursday (Aug. 26) to defend his church's decision to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11.
"We have declared September the 11th 'International Burn a Quran Day' because we want to send a very clear message," Jones said."It is indeed a radical message but a very clear, radical message to Muslims, to Sharia law, that that is not welcome in America."
